How interconversion in matters can be achieved?

Interconversion between the various states of matter is usually achieved by change in temperature. That is, solids can be converted into liquids by heating. Similarly liquids can be converted into gases by heating. Conversely, gases can be converted into liquids and liquids can be converted into solids by cooling. In gases which are highly compressible, change in pressure also brings about a change in state of matter.

Hence, we can say that states of matter can be interconverted by

1) Change in temperature

2) Change in pressure

inter conversion in state of matter can be achieved if  we eithjer join or break bonds b/w the particles

for solid>liquid>gas  increase temperature and decrease pressure

thus providing kinetic energy andbreaking the bonds

for gas<liquid<solid  decrease temp and increase pressure

this is bcoz ionterconversion in state of mattwer can be brought by change in temerature and pressure

thus taking away kinetic energy and bringing them closer to join the interparticle bonds

interconversion in matter can be achieved by performing any one of the following activities-

1. heating

2. cooling

3. increasing pressure

4. decreasing pressure
