I have seen sons/daughters of great singers becoming singers without any professional training, but singing is an acuired trait how is it passed?

Sons/daughters of great singers are often good singers themselves. This is not entirely genetic as well as acquired. Certain genes are inherited from parents by these progenies and with their lifestyle and exposure from surrounding they become singers themselves.

singing may be an acquired trait but maybe your vocal cords were modified or something like that and the generations must have had that but maybe noone would've noticed.

OR

eg.you dont use your left hand for your whole life,and in the next 5 generations also you dont use ur left hand,automatically it will become useles.gradually,the upcoming generations will have no use of thier left hand.

OR

the parents must be giving vocal training at home.
