The food habits of the people, the festivals they celebrate, their art and handicrafts are all part of their culture. India is a large country. A unique feature of our country is that all the major religions of the world are practised here like Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Shikhism, Jainism and Zoroastrianism. There are also many languages gjid dialects spoken in different parts of the country. There are also great varieties in costume, food-habits, and social customs. India, being a secular country, provides his citizens the freedom to follow any religion. But we notice many common beliefs and customs among all the religions. On the occasion of festivals we pray, feast, go to the fairs, sing, and dance and wear colourful dresses. We have some festivals which are religious, and there are some festivals which are associated with seasons. Apart from these, we have National festivals such as Independence Day, Republic Day and Gandhi Jayanti. These festivals are celebrated throughout the country with same zeal and enthusiasam. Some festivals such as Diwali, Dussehra, Holi, Id and Christmas are celebrated in most parts of the country. But Baishakhi, Pongal, Onam, Guruparv, Bihu, Basant Panchami, etc. are the regional festivals celebrated in some parts of the country. Birthdays of gods and other great man are also celebrated as festivals. music -Music is important for the life. People need music to entertain their lives. We hear music every day. Music was known as the universal language. We think music can help to enrich academic areas and improve lives of people. Music can help people to communicate and express themselves. As we can also emit emotions, music can also change emotions. Classical music makes us to remember about the past and miss the people. But rap, rocks, hip-hop, and pop makes us happy so that we extricate from sadness and sorrows. It make people calm even if the are in not the mood of polite manner and cause us to became relaxed. Music is also a great way to learn ideas. Most people are árst introduced to the alphabet by singing the alphabet songs. Children who participated in the music play have the opportunity to explore and improvise with sound. It continued to develop their emotional, affective self-concept. The play lets the children to interact socially. Music can change peoples live in unimaginable ways.​there is a correlation between music and culture, in that music is a distinct, diverse subculture within a given culture. Each musical era offers its own code of values, social forms, and material traits much as a culture does. Whether it is the Gregorian chants of the Middle Ages or the music ​of today's hip-hop culture, music is both an expression of the times and a personal and intimate expression of the artist. As deáned in Merriam-Webster's dictionary, culture is "the customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of a racial, religious, or social group." These customary beliefs could also be described as a set of morals or values commonly practiced by a group. Social forms are understood as being the institutions in which interaction and socialization between people take place, such as at school, church, or work. The material traits within a culture would include clothing, food, and art to name a few. Music is a distinct, diverse culture in itself, a subculture. Each musical era had its own code of values, social forms, and material traits.
