d. The idea of  patriarchy  became well entrenched in Indian society , She became victim of social evils like sati, child marriage etc.
e..However, as time passed, women's education was encourgaed, Laws banning sati, legalizing widow remarriage were passed which aimed at improving their position.

f.  Women of today is a law maker, an administrator, an economist, a reformer, she is dominating the public realm and is making her unhindered contribution to the progress of the Nation.
g. She is part of the nation building progress and is a catalyst of change.
h.Women actively participated in the nationalist movement, they actively participated in defying salt laws, in protest marches, in picketing up shops selling foreign cloth, liquor
i. Sarojini Nadu represented women's interest in the Constituent assembly
j. We today have seen women as active participants in the political process.

k. There is a  participation of high caste as well as low caste women from both urban and rural areas
l. Women are leading  movements to create awareness against issues of injustice, inequality , social evils which are inimical to country's development.One can give example of, Domestic violence Act, Dowry prohibition act which have been the result of role played by women in raising consciousness of the people. 
Women's political participation and representation has been equally commendable. Today's women is empowered, enlightened , has made it to the top echelons in the Political sphere, she has emerged as a policy maker, a decision maker.
m. Women have emerged as leaders, they are pressing for political reforms, for instance Women's representation bill is the result of the prolonged struggle by female activists.
 n. Todays's women is not only responsible for the pro creation of human race but is an engine of change, of development who has carved an identity for herself.
