In chemistry while diluting acids we shouldn't pour water into acids as it will cause an exothermic reaction and cause an explosion. Also in human stomach there is a strong HCl acid. So when we drink water out is like pouring water into acid which should cause an exothermic reaction and cause an explosion. But naturally this doesn't happen. Why?

because mucus is there to absorb the extra acid and there is little acid in our stomach ,it is not in concentrated form
