in what way did the second road have a better claim?

The second road had a better claim as it was not frequented by many people.The poet  was a risk taker and had a challenging nature and he wanted to be different from other people around him.He finds the second road having a better claim as he thinks that since the yellow leaves fallen on the ground had not become black as people had not frequented the road.
