is pure water  a good or bad conductor of electricity? Plz give reason also.

Yes. Actually pure water does not conduct electricity as it's a covalent compound. It's structural formula is like this: H-O-H. So here no ions are found. But if a small amount of impurity(ionic compound) is added, the compound H2O ionizes into H+ and OH- and therefore the solution conducts electricity.
But pure water will conduct electricity when the electron potential difference(voltage) exceeds a particular value but will not conduct below this value. This value depends on the pressure, temperature and the distance between the terminals + and -.
But a solution of water mixed with a small amount of ionic compound will conduct electricity.

thumbs up please

pure water does not contain impurities and thus is a bad conductor of electricity

pure water is a bad conductor while impure water is a good conductor of electricity

Pure water is a bad conductor of heat because it does not contain any impurities like salt which is a good conductor of electricity.

thumps up plzzz...!!

no!

Pure water/distilled water is a bad conductor of heat as it does not contain ions/dissolved minerals in it

It is a bad conductor of heat and electric because it  is clean anddo not contain any salt

WATER IN NATURE IS A BAD CONDUCTOR OF ELECTRICITY BUT IT IS SAID THAT DISTILLED WATER IS A GOOD CONDUCTOR OF ELECTRICITY

IN WATER SALT PARTICLES ARE PRESENT THEN IT ACT AS GOOD CONDUCTOR

WHEN A MAN STAND ON A BULDING IT IE COMPLETLY FILLED WITH RAINYWATER THEN MAN  REMOVE THE CLOTH AT THE CORNEAR OF THE ROOF THEN WATER FORCELY FALL ON THE CURRETLINE WIRES THEN THE MAN DIDNT GET SHOCK WHY(HE DIDNT WEAR ANY INSULATOR MATERIAL)?
