We know that radius of a circle is perpendicular to the tangent at the point of contact 
⇒ OA⊥PA  and  OB⊥PBIn right ∆OAP , Using Pythagoras theoremOP2=OA2+AP2OP2=62+82=36+64=100 cm2In right ∆OBP , Using Pythagoras theoremOP2=OB2+BP2100=42+BP2⇒BP2=100-16⇒BP2=84⇒BP=84 cm=221 cm
