It is a neutralisation reaction in which a  base Naoh (sodium hydroxide) reacts with a acid Ch3cooh (Acetic acid) to give water and salt Nach3oo. the salt formed is a basic in nature as a strong base reacts with a weak acid. Hope it helps...
