Can u explain me in detail...(FOR & AGAINST)..!!

E-payment refers to the online transaction that takes place between the buyers and sellers. The system of e-payment is a mixed bag of advantages and drawbacks.

The following are the points in favour of e-payment

1. This system involves with minimum operational cost. 

2. It proves to be a hassle free mode of transaction as the payment can be made at one's own convenience.  

3. It eliminates the need to interact with the government officials and Bureaucrats.

4. This system saves time and effort as the need to stand in long ques is eliminated. 

5. It encourages direct transaction without the involvement of intermediaries in the form of agents, brokers, etc. 

Despite having various advantages, this system suffers from some serious drawbacks. The following are the points against e-payment.

1. In a developing country like India, a large section of the population does not have to computers or internet. Thus, this system does not prove much beneficial.

2. Even if the people have the means and resources to have access to the computer, they are not computer literate or internet savy. 

3. Technical problems associated with the system make it unreliabe. For example, in case of online railway booking system some time it happens that the website is not able to mange the huge login traffic and the site gets blocked. 

4. Due to illiteracy, lack of awareness it makes the people all the more dependent on the brokers and commission agents. For example, often the railway booking commission agents charge a hefty sum as commission for booking the tickets.

5. This system opens the doors for software hackers and thereby, puts a question on its reliability.
