Raisins swell in water and grapes shrink in thick syrup - Explain. (plz send by mail)

Raisins swell in water due to endosmosis. The concentration of solutes in raisins is more then the outside so water move inside the raisin resulting in its swelling. Grapes shrink in thick syrup due to exosmosis. As the concentration of solute is more outside i. e in syrup as compared with the grape, so it looses water and shrinks to attain equilibrium.
