The British School, Panchkula, celebrated India's 65th Republic Day. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. To mark the importance of this day, a grand celebration was held in the school, and many activities were planned in the school premises. The school echoed with patriotic fervour as the children drew scenes of Republic Day celebrations, sang patriotic songs, and even wore tri-coloured clothes to mark the occasion.      
St John's High School celebrated Republic Day in the school premises by releasing tri-coloured balloons. Besides songs and dances, specially choreographed for the occasion, plays on social themes like 'Save the Girl Child' and promises made by politicians, were also staged. A special tribute was paid to soldiers through Ae Mere Watan Ke Logo, the patriotic song that completes its 50 years.      
The school auditorium reverberated with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. A powerpoint presentation on the Indian Constitution and Republic Day was also shown. The students brought the stage alive with their passion and love for the motherland. Kavita Das, the school principal, said: "The students were reminded about the school motto 'For God and Country' a?? and how the students of today hold the future of their country in their hands. It is important for the welfare of the country that its present generation should realize that the future is in its hands."      
Hallmark Public School, Panchkula, celebrated Republic Day with more than 100 underprivileged children from an NGO. These children showed their creativity in an art workshop organized by the school, to give them confidence to choose 'education' in life. The activity was coordinated by students of Hallmark, who gave support to the NGO children. The workshop was themed on 'Building Creative Capacities for the 21st Century'. Kavita Wadhwa, principal, Hallmark Public School, said: "We wanted to organize a meaningful Republic Day celebration by holding an awareness programme. The programme by children from underprivileged sections of society was coordinated by our students. It was a very welcome exposure that the less privileged children received."
