Firstly we should know why is education important?
Education is a means for increasing knowledge. A popular slogan is "KNOWLEDGE IS POWER". This a true statement. If education itself is important than adult education is ofcourse important.
Literacy is the right of every individual. Learning has got no age limit. If we want to learn something, we can learn it at any age, but will power is needed. Adult education isneeded because it is a powerful auxiliaryand an essential motivation to primary education. Illiteracy and ignorance is a sin, and illeterate adults are a burden on the society.
The purpose of all good teaching is to produce changes in human behaviour. All adult education teachers must adopt a positive approach. No programs on adult education can bear fruit without the support and active participation of adults.
If a mother is educated, she will bring up her child in a much better way. This would bring up a better society and a better and developed nation. Because children is the future of a country and adults especially their parents their primary teacher.
Some people in the early age, have not got the chance to get educatedfor different personal and economical reasons. When they are aged and if then they get the chance to study then they should take full benifit of the opportunity.
We can impart adult education by making people aware of it, starting campaigns and doing surveys aand by explaining people the importance and advantages of education. We should also make them aware of the materials and luxuries they are missing because of their illeteracy.
There is a very popular saying, we can tell to our elders who wants to be educated, " for a good purpose if you are determined, then you can overcome any obstacle."
