Yes, the number of chromosomes in the parents and offspring is same which is 46 chromosomes(23 pairs of chromosomes). During sexual reproduction meiosis takes place which results in copying of 23 chromosomes, so if we add chromosomes copyed from both mother and father we get 46 chromosomes. This work is done by special cells called gametes in the body of an human being. When the male and female gametes fuse an organism with 46 chromosomes is formed.
