What are the different modes of HIV transmition ?

Human immunodeficieny virus is a retrovirus which infects human beings causing a disease known as AIDS. HIV can be transmitted in the following ways:

1) HIV can be transmitted from an infected individual to the healthy one through a sexual contact.

2) It can be transmitted by the usage of contaminated needles or transfusion of infected blood.

3) It can also be transmitted from infected mother to the fetus during pregnancy.
