The two boys worked hard day and night to provide medical support for their sister. They ate nothing but black bread and figs and wore tattered clothes. The two boys showed maturity far beyond their years and sacrificed everything else. They were ready to take up any kind of job to provide medical support to their sister

The sacrifices that are done bye the boys are the have left everything for their sister and are working for there sister. The does not enjoy there life and worked for their sister and they didnot buy anything for their self needs and use. The have worked hard for their sisters health but not for their life

the two boys , Nicola and Jacopo worked various jobs from selling fruits to begin guides for tourists and from selling newspapers (and the wold even stay up till midnight to do so)  to shining shoes. From all the various jobs the did, the earned quite a bit but the never spent any money on themselves. the wore worn out clothes , and if the ever had meals the wold only eat black bead and figs. They saved up all their money for their sister's treatment.
