what does miscible and immiscible liquids mean?

Two liquids are said to be miscible if they completely mix and thus form a homogeneous mixture. For example ethanol and water, benzene and carbon tetrachloride etc

Immiscible liquids are those which do not mix completely. Hence a mixture of two immiscible liquids is not homogeneous but heterogeneous. For example benzene and water.

liquids which completely dissolve with each other and no external boundaries are seen they are known as miscible liquids.

Liquids which do not dissolve with each other and form seperate boundaries are known as immiscible liquids.

(miscible liquids) Two or more liquids that can be mixed and will remain mixed under normal conditions..
Liquids that mix together completely. You will not be able to see signs of a heterogeneous mixture if the two liquids are miscible, and the liquids will appear homogeneous.

"Immiscible" means "unmixable", and refers to two liquids that will not intermix. For example, oil and water do not mix; if you try to mix them, they will separate into layers.
