 Indicator - A substance which tells us whether something is acidic or basic in nature is known as indicator (in language of chemistry )

Natural Indicator -- An indicator prepared from natural substances is known as natural indicator.

Example - Litmus,Turmeric

Synthetic Indicator - An indicator prepared from artificial substances is known as synthetic indicator

Example -- Phenolphthalein

 A natural indicator is a solution that changes colour at different pH levels, however these indicators are dissimialr to common indicators such as phenolphtalein as natural indicator solutions are dirived from chemicals from oragnic materials such as carrots, berries and beetroot.
