What is difference between inherited and ressive trait?

Inherited trait may be defined as the distinguishing characteristic which can be genetically passed on from one generation to another.

A recessive trait is defined as the trait which does not express itself in heterozygous condition, and is only expressed in homozygous condition.

Aninherited traitis a trait or character that is genetically inherited or passed down from generation to generation. Examples of inherited traits include: dimples, blue eyes fair skin etc

A recessive trait will only be expressed in the phenotype or appearance of the organism if the organism inherits only copies of the allele associated with this trait from its two parents. Typically that means that the protein that can be produced by one "normal", dominant allele of the gene produces sufficient protein to produce a phenotype that is indistinguishable from the phenotype produced by two normal copies.
