Higgs Boson is termed as a god particle. It belongs to a category of subatomic particles known as Bosons which have a characterized as particles having integer spins. A Higgs Boson a special type of subatomic particle predicted by the Standard model of particle physics which would be responsible for giving mass to matter.

A Higgs Boson is, strictly speaking, not a particle per say but a type of vibration or a field through which other particles move. The movement of particles through such a field and their subsequent interaction with it cause an affect in these particle which gives rise to mass. The amount of mass depends upon the strength of the interaction.
