a harmonic progression (or harmonic sequence) is a progression formed by taking the reciprocals of an arithmetic progression.

e.g.12, 6, 4, 3, (12 / 5), 2, , { 12 / (1+n) }

Harmonic Progression (H.P) is a progression or series which is inverse of Arithmetic

Progression (A.P). When u reciprocalate each term of AP, it will give u HP. For example,

1,2,3,4............... is an AP with common difference 1, then, 1, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4............ is a HP.

If in an AP their are three terms supposedly, a, b, c, Then, Middle term "b" is given as a+c/2

it is also the arithmetic mean b/w these two nos.

Similarly in a HP with same three terms a,b,c, Then Middle term "b" is given as, 2ac/a+c it

is termed as Harmonic Mean.
