what is social exclusion and vulnerability?

Social exclusion is both a cause as well as a consequence of poverty in the usual sense. Broadly, it is a process through which individuals or groups are excluded from facilities, benefits and opportunities that others enjoy. Whereas, vulnerability is a measure, which describes the greater probability of certain communities of becoming, or remaining, poor in the coming years.

Social exclusion is the process in which individuals or entire communities of people are systematically blocked from (or denied full access to) various rights, opportunities and resources that are normally available to members of a different group, and which are fundamental to social integration within that particular group (e.g., housing, employment, healthcare, civic engagement, democratic participation, and due process)

Vulnerability is the grater probability of being more adversely affected than other people when a natural calamity occurs or fall in job opportunities for everyone.
