A prime number can be divided by 1 and itself only, while a composite numbers can be divided by other whole numbers to give other whole numbers. For example 3, 5, 7 are prime numbers, as it can be divided by 1 and itself only. Examples of composite numbers include 9, 12, 14 as these numbers can be divided by other whole numbers to get list of other whole numbers.

in prime number only one number would exist and would have no other factor rather than 1 but in co-prime number there would be two numbers and both the numbers wont have any factors rather than 1.

hi !

Prime numbers

Prime numbers are numbers that have two factors - 1 and the number itself  . The only prime which is even number is 2 . eg . 2, 3, 5, 7, 11 .

Co-prime numbers are pair of prime numbers which have only 1 as their common factor . eg. 3,5

A Number is said to be prime if it have no divisor except 1. For eg. 2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19.........

Two Numbers are said to be coprime if  these two numbers have no common divisor except 1 or you can say that their gcd is 1.

For eg. (3,4) as their is no common divisor of 3 and 4 except 1. (3,9) are not coprimes because these two have common divisor except 1 i.e 3.
