What is the difference between the snake's movement at the beginning of the poem and later when the poet strikes it with a log of wood? You may use relevant vocabulary from the poem to highlight the difference.

PLZ GIVE APPROPRIATE ANSWER

In the beginning of the poem the snake moves in a leisurely way towards the water trough on a hot summer day. It is calm and  unaware of any danger. When the poet strikes it with a log, the snake moves in a black hole in an 'undignified haste'.

The snake moves leisurely towards the water trough to drink water. After quenching his thrist he begins to move back towards the dark black hole .the poet unwantingly throws a stick at the snake.though the stick did not hit it,the snake with undegnified haste writhed back to the hole like a lightening.
