Cooperative sector industries are owned and operated by the producers or suppliers of raw materials, workers or both. They pool in the resources and share the profits or losses proportionately.

The sugar industry is agro-based , consumer industry  and it is best suitable for cooperative sector due to above features in Maharashtra.

cooperative sector is worked with the help of public as well as private sectors same with sugar industries it runs under the control of private and public sectors.
