Why do we need two houses of parliament
We have a bicameral legislature because:
a. Bicameral legislature is necessary for a democratic country with large population and much diversity.
b. To represent the interest of the States at the Centre.
c. Two houses of the Parliament ensure that no decision is taken in haste and that it provides opportunity for thorough discussions and deliberations on any bill or policy decision. It provides for reconsideration of every decision.
