Why do we need two houses of parliment????

We need two houses of Parliament beacuse:
a. Bicameral legislature is necessary for a democratic country with large population and much diversity.
b. To represent the interest of the States at the Centre.
c. Two houses of the Parliament ensure that no decision is taken in haste and that it provides opportunity for through discussions and deliberations on any bill or policy decision. It provides for reconsideration of every decision.
d. The Upper house of our Parliament that is the Rajya Sabha has 12 members who are nominated by the President and have expert knowledge in the field of art, science or literature, In this way it ensures that they give rational and expert suggestions for policy making.
