why do we use a physical balance and not a beam balance in al ab

Beam balance is used to measure the mass of an object by comparing it with a known mass. A beam scale has the capability of measuring small to very large masses.

Depending upon the requirement of the experiment any one of the balances can be used. To measure small masses and weights beam balance is favorable whereas for other kinds of masses and weights physical balance may suffice.
