Write a composition for the following :-

You went for an excursion with your friends to a hilly area. Suddenly there was a heavy downpour, floods and landslides. You were confined there for three days. Describe what you experienced

I was forced to go on an excursion by my friends even though they knew I hated such activities. I could not refuse my friends and so we set out one fine morning to a hilly region near our town. We had packed a few things to eat on the way and we reached the top singing and enjoying. I wanted to rest and so we relaxed and had some snacks. As we were thinking of moving downwards we heard a loud thunder and even before we knew, it started raining. We took shelter in a nearby cave and waited for the rain to stop. But it continued to pour for the next five hours. We were stranded in the cave with our lunch boxes empty and our morale down. When we saw that the heavy rain had become a drizzle, we stepped out of the cave only to find that there had been a land slide and the whole area was flooded. We went back to the cave thinking that it may be cleared in a while but we were wrong. We had to stay in the cave for two nights, hungry, cold and frightened. The third day seemed a bright one so we started on our journey downwards. With some difficulty we reached home to find our parents worried and praying for our safety. After that we all vowed never to go trekking again.
