Subject: Lack of playground in Lashkar area

Sir,

This is to bring to the notice of the concerned authorities the lack of a playground for children in Lashkar area of Gwalior city.

The area is over-crowded, with towering buildings on all sides. as a result, children are stuck inside their houses and either watch television or play games on the computer during evenings. They get no physical exercise, rather they are turning into couch potatoes. There is a central area marked for a park for children on the Municipal Authority map, but it has been encroached upon by various vendors selling food items. The Residents Association has lodged many complaints regarding this problem, but to no avail. The concerned authorities are requested to deal with the problem at the earliest, remove the encroachers and build a park for children and adults to utilise.

I hope the concerned authorities will take appropriate action soon.
