write up on garoghalanian tribes

The Garoghlanian tribe is from Armenia.  They ended up settling in areas such as Fresno, California.  Part of the tribe's culture is trying to find a sense of placement and self in a new and modern setting.  The Garoghlanian tribe is a group that operates in this modern predicament while clinging to values of the past, of their native Armenia.  In Saroyan's short story, these values become extremely important in how the characters in it relate to one another:

They also understand that the value and thereby the use of property belong to those with spirit and understanding, not only money. A horse, after all, is a living being, not a thing like the burning house that Uncle Khosrove so easily dismisses. John Byro knows who has taken his horse, and he hints not to the boys but to the boy's relatives that he knows, but he does not force the issue by demanding his horse back. To insult the honor of the Garoghlanian family would cause much more trouble than the loss of a horse, disruptingthe peace of the community.

This becomes one of the fundamental principles of the tribe.  The fact that Byro interacts with the boys, whom he knows has stolen his horse, with a sense of compassion and understanding is one element that underscores the Garoghlanian tribe, which sees itself as a type of family.  The idea of respecting the bonds between individuals becomes extremely important to this group of Armenians, one of many that had to have experienced displacement and the rupturing of such connections with the Armenian Genocide at the hands of the Turks after World War I.

The Garoghlanian tribes is a sub division of the Armenian tribes. They are very truthful and never speaks lies. They are also very honest and never thinks of stealing any others things.Due to their these divine traits they are reffered to as the hallmarks of honesty and trust.
One such instance we can get from the two small boys Aram and Mourad.
Both belongs to the Garoghlanian tribe. When Mourad bought the magnificient white horse of John Byro he told that taking a horse for riding is not the same as stealing the horse for sealing in the market and this is correct.
Also both of them had also kept the horse well and this shows that they were good and loving.
Also at last when John Byro saw both of them with a similar type of horse like his which was stolen some months ago, many questions evoked in his mind. Both of them thought if they further keeps the horse with them then they have to tell lies which will ultimately lower there tribe's pride.Hence, they returned the horse to it's place without coming in the notice of John Byro the owner of the horse.
This shows that the members of the gharoghlanian tribe are proud of their honesty and trusty nature and always tries to maintain it.
