zinc is less reactive than sodium dose their reaction will occure?if yes then why??state thair reaction.....

Dear student

As Na is highly reactive in comparison to Zn, so zinc will not  replace Na from its hydroxide and zinc attaches there by forming the zincate compound.
Zn + NaOH   Na2ZnO2 + H2

it depends mainly on the kind of reaction that will take place.if zinc tries to displace sodium from its salt solution then no reaction will take place because zinc is less reactive than sodium and will not be able to displace it.
On the other hand if sodium tries to displace zinc from from its salt solution then the reaction would take place because sodium is more reactive than sodium is more reactive then zinc and will be able to displace it!
