1.8 g of certain metal burnt in oxygen gave 3 g of its oxide. Also 1.5 g of same metal heated with steam to give 2.5 g of same metal oxide. Show that results illustrate law of constant proportion.( Metal+steam = metal oxide + Hydrogen. This thing is confusing me, as what about hydrogen. So pls explain this also.

1 mole means 1 atom of hydrogen
1 mole means 1 atom of sulphur
... 1 mole means 1 atom of any substance.
I am confused as 1 mole means 6.023 x 10^23 atoms so please I am not understanding this concept.
