According to the text,Sebastian Shultz and Michael are the two advanced intelligences on Planet Earth. This might also refer to the juxtaposition of human mind and computer technology. This is so because these two boys had overcome the power of virtual reality to win over life.
The two boys relived the accident when they played the games and Michael in the end was able to rescue Sebastian's memory.
