You are requested to kindly ask separate questions in separate threads. However, the answer to the first question is as follows:
Although deserts are not suitable for living but people still live there because:
  • Human beings are very adaptable and they generally adapt to living conditions however harsh they may be
  • They can make use of whatever resources are locally available to their best use
  • The nomadic tribes have generally inhibited the deserts. Such tribes do not live at one place and move to different locations once condition get excessively harsh at a given place.
  • The growing population makes its own demands and people in their endeavor to find better space, may actually opt for  sparsely inhabited areas
  • Places like the deserts offer excellent natural surrounding and beauty and are hot spots for tourism. Unless people live there, this economic aspect cannot be developed.
