1)How are amino acids synthesized?
2)What are the important amides found in plants? How are they formed?
3)What are the factors required for N2 fixation.

Dear student,

1) Amino acid are synthesised by two methods :
a. Strecker amino-acid synthesis: It is a series of chemical reactions where an amino acid is synthesized from the condensation of aldehyde with ammonium chloride in the presence of potassium cyanide to form α-aminonitrile which then hydrolyzes to give required amino acid.
b. Liquid phase peptide synthesis.

2) Amides form the structural part of most of the proteins found in the plant containing more nitrogen as compared to amino acids. Two important amides found in the plants are asparagine and glutamine formed from aspartic acid and glutamic acid respectively.

3) The main factor of N2 fixation is nitrogen-fixing bacteria that invades the roots of host plant that is these bacteria fix the nitrogen in association with leguminous plant.
