1. Fruits are said to be parthenocarpic when they are formed without fertilization (i.e. seeds are not present in them) whereas apomixis refers to the development seeds without fertilization.
2. Farmers prefer using apomictic seeds as they lower the cost of production and increase yield, moreover they don't have to be purchased yearly as hybrid seeds
