1. If we use excessively pesticides to protect the crops from diseases, then it may cause long term damage to mankind, justify the statement.

When we use pesticides in the fields for the proper growth of the plant, some amount of the pesticide flow down into the water streams that result in the contamination of water. If any person come in contact with this contaminated water for long time, he/she can suffer from various health problems like memory loss, allergies, asthma, cancer, hypertension etc.

we use chemicals and pesticides to prevent the plant from the pests. they are either washed away into the soil or water bodies.so the plants absorb these chemicals along with water and minerals.this is the way they enter into food chain.as chemicals are not degradble they accumulate progressively at each trophic level..as humans beings are at the top at any food chain,the max. concentration takes place in our bodies.this phenomenon is calle biological magnification..
