Please do not ask so many questions in one thread. I am answering two questions.

1. The leader of the ruling party is responsible for forming a government that can win majority support in the Lok Sabha. The leader then becomes the Prime Minister.

2. The role of the Prime Minister in India is to form a government that has majority support in the Lok Sabha. The Prime Minister then runs the government along with the Council of Ministers. The Prime Minister needs to see that the government runs according to the Constitution and laws passed by Parliament.

The role of the President in India is to act as the head of state. The President appoints all leading officials of the state including the Prime Minister. The President then acts as the guardian of the Constitution and needs to check that the government is running according to the Constitution.
