24 men can complete a work in 16 days. 32 women can complete the same work in 24 days. 16 men and 16 women started working and worked for 12 days. How many more men are to be added to complete the remaining work in 2 days?

ANS: 24 men complete the work in 16 days

1 man can complete the in 16*24= 384 days

32 women csan complete the work in 24 days

1 woman can complete the  work in 24*32 = 768

The ratio between man : woman = 384: 768 = 1:2

=> 1 man is equivalent to  2 women

The work is progressed by 16 men and 16 women  for 12 days.  { 16 women = 8 men}

Thus the man days of work completed in 12 days by ( 16 men and 16 women= 16 +8 =24 men

Since , 24 men takes 16 days to complete the work

So after 12 days 4days work will be left for 24 men

thus, the work left can be completed in 2 days by 24*4/2 = 48 men

Additional men require to complete the work in 2 days = 48 - 24 = 24 men
