50 g of a metal when completely reacts with oxygen, mass of metal oxide becomes 75 g. What is the equivalent mass of metal oxide?

wt of metal = 50gm = W1
wt of oxide = 75 gm - 50gm = 25 gm W2
equavalent mass of O2 = 8 = E2
equivalent mass of metal (E1) = W1/E1 = W2/E2
W1*E2 = W2*E1
50*8 = 25*x
400/25 = x
16 = x
therefore, equivalent mass of metal = 16.
