Article 14 -18 of Constitution ( Right to Equality ) provides that:
All citizens are equal before the law. State shall not deny to any person equality before the law or equal protection of the laws within the territory of India.
Each citizen will be equally protected by the laws of the country.
No citizen is allowed to discriminate against the others on the basis of religion, caste and/or sex.
