We know that,a) Time=DistanceSpeedThus, as the distance increases the time also increases provided the speed is constantHence, time and distance is directly proportional to each other
b) (i)Distance=Time×SpeedThus, the distance travelled by car in 5 min or 560hr=560×70=356=5

2 hrs=1
2×70=84 milesc) (i)Time=DistanceSpeedTime taken by car to travel in 210 miles=21070=3 hr(ii) Time taken by car to travel in 14 miles=1470=210=0
