A cart of mass 50 kg is moving on a straight track with a speed of 12m/s. a mass of 10 kg is gently put into the cart . what willl be the velocity of the cart after this?

mass of car = 50kg

Speed = 12 m/s

After putting 10 kg mass,

Mass of car = 60kg

Let velocity be X

Since, momentum before collision = momentum after collision

50*12 = 60x

= 60x = 50*12

= X = 50*12/60

So, X = 10 m/s
