A compound X on electolysis gives a compound Y which is strong base . Name the compound X and Y and the product formed at anode and cathode

the compound x is aqueous solution of sodium chloride (brine). the compound y is sodium hydroxide which is a strong base.the product formed at anode is chlorine gas and product formed at cathode is hydrogen gas.
