Object distance, u = -10 cm

Image distance = v

Focal length = f

Now,

We know,

m = v/u

=> -4 = -v/10

=> v = 40 cm

Again,

1/f = 1/v + 1/u

=> 1/f = 1/40 – 1/10

=> f = -13.33

Since, the image is real the image is inverted.
