A convex lens is said to have a real focus and a concave lens a virtual focus .why? ( give a brief answer.)

A CONVEX LENS BENDS ALL PARALLEL RAYS PASSING THROUGH IT INVERTS TO MEET OR CONVERT AT A POINT CALLED THE FOCUS .THUS,IT IS SAID TO BE HAVE REAL FOCUS  WHEREAS A CONCAVE LENS MAKE SPREAD ALL PARALLEL RAYS AWAY OR DIVERT AND APPEARS AS IF THEY ARE COMING FROM A POINT CALLED FOCUS B. THUS ,IT IS SAID TO BE A VIRTUAL FOCUS

Becuase in a convex lens the rays converge inside to meet at focus  but in a concave lens the rays diverge
outside and virtually meet at focus. (in short)

When does a convex lens form a virtual image? Is the virtual image bigger or smaller than object?

A convex lens converge light rays at its focus therefore it is said to produce real focus whereas the concave lens diverges the light rays that seems to come from focus therefore it is virtual

a convex lens are said to have real focus and concave lens are said to have virtual focus......
a convex lens converge light rays at its focus therefore it is said to produce real focus whereas the concave lens diverges the light rays that seems to come from focus therefore it is visual.
