a cuboid measures 24m x 12m x 10m. how many cubes of side 3m can fit in the box.

Dear Student ,

Please find below the solution to the asked query :

Volume of cuboid= Length × Breadth × Height=24×12×10=2880 m3 .Volume of cube=side3=33=27 m3Number of cubes can fit in the box=Volume of cuboidVolume of cube=288027=106.66So, 106 cubes can fit in the box .

Volume of cuboid= l*b*h
=24*10*12
=2880 cm^3

Volume of cube= s*s*s
=3*3*3
=27 cm^3

No. of cubes that can be fit= 2880/27
= 106.66

0.66 is the remainder, so, 106 cubes will fit in the box

Please thumbs up!!

Hi Yogesh, let us take the dimensions of cuboid to be 27 x 12 x 10 just for convenience of packing cubes of side 3m
Volume of cuboid = 27 * 12 * 10 / (3 * 3 * 3) = 120
So 120 cubes could be fit into the cuboid.
