A man leaves half his property to his wife, one

third of the remaining to his son and the rest to his

daughter. If daughters share is Rs 15000, how

much money did the man leave? How much

money did his wife and son each get?

Let total property be x.

Wife's share = 1x/2

Son's share = 1x/3

Daughter's share = 1x/6 (1/2 + 1/3 + 1/6 = 1)

if daughter's share = 15000 then,

15000=x/6

x = Rs90,000

Wife's share = x/2

90,000/2=Rs45,000

son's share = x/3

90,000/3 = Rs30,000

Wife and son will get Rs45,000 and Rs30,000 respectively.
