Dear student,

A mixture contains two components A and B.
As given component A is a white solid which is soluble in water and is obtained on a large scale from- sea water by process X.
So here component A is salt as it is a white solid and also soluble in wateand the process by which salt is obtained from sea-water is evaporation, which is process X.
As given component B consists of tiny pieces called fillings that can be attached and removed from the mixture by a device Y.
So here the component B is Iron as iron fillings can be attracted by magnet which is device Y.

Hence component A is Salt, process X is evaporation, component B is iron and device Y is magnet.
